BERNARD M. RESNICK, ESQ., COUNSEL / trustee

Bernard M. Resnick, Esq. is a musician that went to law school.  He practices as an entertainment attorney in suburban Philadelphia, PA.  He has been rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale/Hubbell; a “Pennsylvania Superlawyer” by Thompson/Reuters; and has been named one of Main Line Today's "Top Lawyers.”  His law firm, Bernard M. Resnick, Esq., P.C., has earned over 100 gold, platinum, Billboard #1 and other music industry awards for deals negotiated and drafted on behalf of the firm’s clients, representing sales of over 170,000,000 records.  He plays double bass in the Main Line Symphony Orchestra, teaches Entertainment Law at Villanova Law School, votes for the Grammy Awards, and is a member of the Recording Academy's National Hall of Fame Committee.  He has been elected to Philadelphia City Council's Music Industry Task Force, and serves on the Boards of The Musical Fund Society of Philadelphia and the Advisory Board for the Sound Recording and Music Technology program at Montgomery County Community College.  He plays a little poker and runs a few 5k races every year.  As an author, Resnick has written numerous academic papers; has contributed chapters to several textbooks, and has published the non-fiction disaster planning book “The Big List”.  His work of crime fiction, a short story entitled “Mis Problemas,” was selected for inclusion in the crime fiction anthology “Suspicious Activity,” published November, 2018 by Devil’s Party Press.

  Resnick owns the ASCAP-affiliated music publishing company A Max Entertainment Publishing, which won an ASCAP “Rhythm & Soul” award in 2017 for co-publishing the musical composition, “Sorry Not Sorry,” co-written by Jetmir “Milli Beatz” Salii and performed by Bryson Tiller.  He also owns the BMI-affiliated music publishing company B Max Entertainment Publishing and the SESAC-affiliated music publishing company S Max Entertainment Publishing.  Resnick produced and performed on Classical Requests, a classical music CD released by BMP Records.  He has co-written songs included on internationally-distributed CD’s and featured on internationally-televised programs.  Resnick was selected a Grand Prize winner of British Airways/UK Trade & Investment’s “Face of Opportunity” contest.
